I'm Jillian, principal designer and founder at House of You Interior Design.

 Growing up in a small country town North of Grand Rapids launched me headfirst into a lifetime of creativity. Without any home décor stores in my one stoplight town, I grew up learning how to design and create with the things around me. I found inspiration in nature, secondhand vintage finds, and the organic wood tones around me. I spent hours cutting up magazines to create “mood boards” and sketching out floorplans, just for fun. I even taught myself how to sew and refinish furniture. Interior design has truly been my passion, even at a young age.

In 2013 I received my AAS Interior Design from Baker College and have continued educating myself through hands on experiences and workshops ever since. I spent some time working for a home builder, making interior and exterior selections, and then moved on to a position at an upscale interior design studio and retail space.

After my first child was born in 2015, I decided to start House of You Interior Design. As a stay at home Mom, I was so grateful to have my business as a creative outlet and something that made me feel ME.

Since then, House of You Interior Design has grown tremendously, and I have been grateful to be serving West Michigan and the surrounding areas for the past 6 years. These days I still find inspiration in nature and vintage finds and love to incorporate them into my clients’ homes.
